Katrina Kaif Says She Was Naive And Innocent When She Entered Bollywood

Katrina Kaif is one of the most sought-after actresses of today’s times. She has made a place for herself in the film industry, despite having a non-filmy background. During an exclusive interview with Vogue India, the actress opened up on being “naive and innocent” when she decided to go for acting.

She shared, “There’s so much I could imbibe from my younger self. Looking back, I was 18 in such a massive industry with absolutely no connections. I was extremely naive and innocent, but I had so much belief.” The actress also noted that she did not have any fear when it came to putting across her points back then. “I wasn’t perplexed by nagging doubts. The absence of fear and judgement was freeing. I think that’s something I would take back from my younger self,” she added.

Katrina Kaif’s debut film was Boom, released in 2003. The black-comedy thriller was directed by Kaizad Gustad. She also starred in Telugu film Malliswari (2004), Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye and Namastey London in the early phases of her career.

While speaking about her long career, Katrina also emphasized on listening to one’s inner voice during tough times. “I feel like I can be quite guarded. I struggle with that and know that others do too. When I’ve had low and difficult moments in my life, what has been a great source of strength is knowing I am not alone,” she added.

She also spoke about being an entrepreneur. Opening up about the similar traits between an entrepreneur and an actress, she said, “I’ve carried many similar traits from being an actor into being an entrepreneur and a business owner. I’ve learnt that its important in business to listen, and the same applies for acting. You have to really listen to collaborate.”
