There’s been a lot of speculation around the fourth installment of the Race series. We know one thing for sure, Saif Ali Khan will make a grand return to the franchise. But what about other details? There’s been a lot of conjecture around the film’s director, other members of the cast, shooting locations etc. But Filmfare has learnt from trusted sources that the current heartthrob of Gen Z and the most popular actor in theatres in 2025, Harshvardhan Rane, might be part of Race 4.
Our source tells us, “Harsh’s stupendous success with the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam has paid rich dividends. He’s been getting some plum offers, one of which is the opportunity to play the antagonist in Race 4. He’s not been finalised yet, but chances are this casting coup will come to fruition.” Now that’s what we call exciting news.
But that’s also got us thinking. Not too long ago, there were unconfirmed reports that Sidharth Malhotra will also be a part of Race 4. Will Sidharth and Harshvardhan both be the baddies in Saif’s return to the action-packed franchise? Or will Harsh lock horns with Sidharth and Saif. To be honest, we’re super excited and we can’t wait to see official details of this hot and happening project.
Our source also tells us that all the chatter of Nikkil Advani directing Race 4 might not be true. The source adds, “This is not confirmed but director Om Raut, might just be roped in to helm this project.” That’s another big break if you ask us. We’ll talk around a little more and get you more confirmations on Race 4 in the near future.
Meanwhile, the last instalment of the Race franchise was directed by choreographer turned filmmaker Remo D’Souza. It had an ensemble star cast of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem among others.
