Suniel Shetty starrer Kesari Veerâs release date gets pushed

Suniel Shetty-starrer period drama titled Kesari Veer’s release date has been postponed. Originally set to hit theatres on March 14, 2025, the film will now release on May 16, 2025. The official distributor, Panorama Studios, announced the delay, stating that the shift aims to ensure a “more impactful worldwide launch” in theatres.

Alongside Suniel Shetty, the film also features Sooraj Pancholi and Vivek Oberoi in lead roles. It is produced by Kanu Chauhan and directed by Prince Dhiman.

In an Instagram post announcing the new release date, Panorama Studios wrote, “The love and anticipation for Kesari Veer have been overwhelming! To ensure a more impactful worldwide launch, we are now moving the release date to May 16, 2025.”

According to the press note, Kesari Veer delves into the inspiring tale of unsung warriors who fought and sacrificed their lives to protect the Somnath Temple from invaders in the 14th century AD.

Sharing his excitement and dedication to the project, producer Kanu Chauhan said that the story is very personal to him and that he has long dreamed of bringing this lesser-known chapter of history to light. Director Prince Dhiman described how the narrative moved him emotionally, emphasizing the extensive research undertaken to ensure historical accuracy. More details regarding the film are awaited.

Suniel Shetty remains highly active and has an impressive lineup of films ahead. Recently, he was seen in Nadaaniyan, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, produced by Karan Johar.
