Christopher Nolanâs next with Tom Holland Zendaya is based on The Odyssey

After Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan is working on his next. New details about the star-studded film including its subject are out.

As per Universal Pictures’ post, Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film is based on Homer’s The Odyssey. The film is, “a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theatres everywhere on July 17, 2026.”

The Odyssey is one of the oldest texts in literature. It revolves around the Greek hero Odysseus and his journey back home after the Trojan War. The film’s ensemble cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o and more.
