Metro… In Dino finally has a release date. The Anurag Basu directorial is set to be released on July 4, 2025. The stellar ensemble cast includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh. There were reports earlier that stated that the movie was looking at a 2026 release. However, the makers have shared the final release date, debunking all the rumours and social media speculations. The makers had earlier noted, “On the contrary to some media reports claiming that ‘Metro In Dino’ is getting pushed, we confirm the movie is releasing this year in 2025.”
While major details about the movie are under the wraps, director Basu had hinted at Pankaj Tripathi playing an interesting character. “Pankaj is even different in this film, Metro… In Dino. It’s absolutely different. In Metro, you’ll see it in a completely different character,” he added.
Last year, the director had also mentioned more about the movie. He said, “Metro…In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people. It has been a while since I am working on this one and I am glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who has always been like a pillar to me.”
Speaking about the story, he had noted that it is “fresh and relevant” to today’s times. Noting about the music, Basu stated that Pritam did a good job in making the music as relevant as possible. “As music plays a very important role in any film, I couldn’t be happier to be collaborating with my dear friend Pritam who has literally added life to the characters and story with his work,” he had added.
