It was an unexpected turn of events when Manisha accused her then-beau, Rajeev, of having a private fling with Aishwarya. The blue-eyed actress once confessed to crying her heart out when Manisha made baseless accusations about her.

According to an ETimes report, Manisha had discovered an alleged love letter while she was courting Rajeev. Neither Rajeev nor Aishwarya had spoken about it, but Manisha felt he had written letters to the Devdas actress. It fuelled speculations that Aishwarya had an affair with Rajeev. The actress did not keep quiet and was so disappointed that she had also cried. According to the publication, she had revealed in an old interview that she had praised Manisha for her role in Bombay (1995). Although things got weird when her name was dragged, a varied controversy started, and the rumours affected her. In her words:
“If this was true, why did this information not come out in July 1994? If this was the reason for her separation from Rajiv, why did it take nine months to come out?” Manisha affected me a lot in the beginning. I cried like crazy. I was very sad with whatever was happening around me.”
