Dhanpal Raghavan, also known as D. Raghavan (Pradeep Ranganathan), is a top student until his 12th grade. But after joining B.Tech, he gets carried away by fun and romance, neglects his studies, and ends up failing in 48 subjects. With no clear plan, he somehow manages to land a software job through a backdoor entry. This job comes with the chance to move to the U.S. and marry a rich girl, Pallavi (Kayadu Lohar).
Just when things seem to be working out, his former college principal throws in a twist—he must return to college and pass all 48 subjects. Why did he break up with Keerthi (Anupama Parameswaran)? How did that breakup change his life? Why did he hesitate to marry Pallavi and move to the U.S.? What unexpected event made him give up his dream job and wedding? And how does he eventually become Dragon? The film answers all these questions in a fun and engaging way.
