Avneet Kaur recalls the incident that shattered her confidence as a child actor
Avneet, who began her journey in the entertainment industry at a very young age, recently sat down for an interview with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, where she opened up about navigating the challenges of showbiz. During the candid conversation, the Tiku Weds Sheru actress recalled an incident from when she was just 11 or 12 years old. While shooting for a daily soap, a director’s harsh and abusive words deeply affected her, leaving her confidence scarred for a long time. Avneet shared:
“There was this one incident from the time when I was struggling, and it really scared me. I was just starting out, and this director gave me a very heavy monologue with heavy words, which I had to say. Now, I was very scared, because I was 11 or 12, and I fumbled 2-3 times, which is when he switched on his mic and started speaking harshly. He said that I wasn’t capable of doing anything and that I would never succeed in this industry. He even abused me verbally.”
