Superstar duos are our favourite kind of casting. Especially when that happens for an action flick. The latest duo to join forces are the two men who unmistakably stand for unbridled machismo – Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. While these two stars have given us classics like Saajan (1991) and Chal Mere Bhai (2000), it’s not time for them to come together for an out-and-out action flick.
Our trusted sources revealed, “Salman and Sanjay love working together. They haven’t come together in a while, but once they got wind of this action flick project both stars were excited. Their new action, adventure caper is going to be directed by a debutant director.” Interestingly, Salman and Sanjay have never worked together in a full-blown action film, despite having undeniable charisma as action stars. Saajan was a romantic drama, while Chal Mere Bhai was a family comedy. They’ve also worked together in a David Dhawan film called Ye Hai Jalwa (2002), but that was a family comedy, too.

This new project will mark an all-new style of collaboration between these leading men. It will be great to see how Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt’s real-life friendship translates into the action heroes’ chemistry. The fact that this new film is going to be directed by a newcomer also promises that the film could bring in a never-seen-before kind of treatment and style. Both Salman and Sanjay have larger-than-life personas on screen and that could translate into an action film that impresses genre fans. We’re keeping our fingers crossed and eye peeled for more developments around this project.
Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt were also recently spotted in Dubai, where they were shooting for the international project, a remake of the Argentinian movie Seven Dogs (2021). Sanjay Dutt is reportedly working with Prabhas in Spirit and that’s another exciting project in the offing.
