Varun Dhawan, who is currently in Rishikesh shooting for his upcoming film Hain Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hain, has injured his finger. The actor took to Instagram story to share a picture of his pinky finger submerged in a bowl of ice for cold compression. With a hint of frustration, he wrote, “How long does it take to heal ur finger.” However, he didn’t reveal how he sustained the injury.
Varun began filming the project on March 22, alongside Pooja Hegde. The duo marked the beginning of their schedule with a special post on Instagram, sharing glimpses from their time in Rishikesh. The video included them performing Ganga aarti, watering a plant, and Varun addressing a crowd with a mic in hand. Expressing gratitude, they captioned the post, “A great beginning to our schedule in Rishikesh… Blessed #HainJawaniTohIshqHonaHain.”
Not much has been disclosed about the storyline, but Hain Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hain is said to be inspired by classic 90s rom-coms. Produced by Ramesh Taurani, the film stars Varun and Pooja in lead roles, with a supporting cast likely to include Mrunal Thakur, Kubbra Sait, Maniesh Paul, Rohit Saraf, Rajeev Khandelwal, Nitish Nirmal, and Sreeleela. Varun initially began filming for the project in July last year.
Ahead of their shoot, Varun shared a light-hearted video from his travel diaries with Pooja Hegde. In the clip, she was seen frantically searching for her phone mid-flight, to which Varun jokingly said, “It’s okay Pooja, get it together, you will survive, you’ll survive Pooja.” He even added, “Sit on your seat, wear your seatbelt.” Pooja later reposted the video with a playful response, “I forgive you for this coz you found my phone for me #mess.” Meanwhile, Varun is gearing up for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Janhvi Kapoor, while Pooja has Retro in the pipeline.
