Kirik Party was a superhit Kannada film from 2016. The movie featured Rakshith Shetty as an engineering student and his gang of friends came up with some entertaining situations in the movie. It seems to be the perfect film to make with a young star cast. In fact, Kirik Party has been remade in Telugu as Kirrak Party back in 2018. But now, it seems the time has come for Kirik Party to have a Hindi remake, too. Our sources tell us that Suniel Shetty has acquired the rights to the remake and plans to stage the film for son Ahan Shetty.
Our source tells us, “Ahan’s debut film Tadap released back in 2021. It’s been a while since the audiences saw him on the big screen. Ahan will also be seen in Border 2, but that’s going to release sometime next year as well. That’s why, Suniel Shetty has acquired the rights of Kirik Party, to give Ahan a young and entertaining film. It’s the perfect kind of film for Ahan to return to the movies and build on his career.”
Ahan Shetty is also reportedly featuring in a film called Sanki, where Pooja Hegde is his co-star. Sanki is believed to be an action-romantic film that will again add to Ahan’s image as an intense hero. But this Kirik Party remake will bring a totally new vibe to Ahan’s career. While Border 2 and Sanki will rely on his action hero skills, Kirik Party’s young, comedic themes will give the audiences an all-new look at Ahan’s ability as an actor.
Kirik Party was a game-changer for Kannada cinema, redefining the campus drama genre with its fresh narrative, nostalgic charm, and relatable characters. Directed by Rishab Shetty and starring Rakshit Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, and Samyuktha Hegde, the film resonated with young audiences, capturing the highs and heartbreaks of college life.
