Filmmaker Hansal Mehta collaborated with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film The Buckingham Murders. It went on to earn a lot of love and appreciation. Now, the director has confirmed that he is making a film with Kareena’s husband, actor Saif Ali Khan. Mehta also revealed that he is looking forward to collaborating with Kapoor once again.
During the Cinevesture International Film Festival in Chandigarh, the filmmaker said that the film is an adaptation of a book. “Saif and I are working on a film. I am directing it. It’s an adaptation of a book,” Mehta was quoted as saying.
Expressing his willingness to work with Kareena once again, he continued, “We have sent a script to Kareena. Every time I look at a script, I ask, ‘Can we do something with Kareena?’ You want to work with her over and over again; she is a different beast altogether. Kareena is one of the most prepared persons on set, a thorough professional, and always happy. She is a big star, but it was a privilege. It was as if I was working with Pratik (Gandhi) or Rajkummar (Rao).”
About The Buckingham Murders
Hansal and Kareena’s The Buckingham Murders saw the actress play the role of a detective investigating the tragic murder of a child. Besides Kareena, the film also starred Keith Allen, Ranveer Brar, Prabhleen Sandhu and Sarah-Jane Dias, among others. The actress will next be seen in Daayra, helmed by Meghna Gulzar.
Saif Ali Khan’s Upcoming Project
Saif Ali Khan, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. The actor will share the screen with Jaideep Ahlawat and Nikita Dutta in the Robbie Grewal and Kookie Gulati directorial.
The thriller revolves around a master thief who accepts the mission to steal the legendary African Red Sun diamond, however, his heist takes a wrong turn.
