Saif Ali Khan was stabbed brutally in January at his residence in Bandra. He was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital for almost a week. While the actor did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, he underwent surgery. Recently, Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, actress Sara Ali Khan, opened up about the incident and said that life could have changed overnight had things gone wrong.
The actress said, “It makes you realise what truly matters. The entire family only felt gratitude because it could have gone so wrong. I am so grateful that everything is fine. It was a reminder of the life we have. We all talk about practising mental health. Being grateful for your life is so important. And moments like that make you realise it.”
Sara continued, “He is my father; we are as close as we can be. It did not make me realise that he is my father; it made me realise that life can change overnight. So, every day deserves mindful celebration. It made me realise just being grateful.”

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by an intruder who reportedly broke into his Bandra residence on January 16. He sustained two deep wounds and one that was close to his spine.
Last month, the actor opened up about the fateful night and revealed what transpired. Saif recalled his family’s reaction and revealed that his son Taimur asked if he was going to die. He also shared that Kareena Kapoor Khan frantically made calls to their close friends, but no one was picking up at that hour in the night.
While Saif tackled the attacker, Kareena took Jeh out and rushed to Taimur’s room. He said that Kareena was screaming to take the kids out. The actress wanted to get Jeh out of the house as she suspected the attacker or groups of attackers might be around.” Meanwhile, talking of Sara Ali Khan, she was most recently seen in Sky Force with Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur and Veer Pahariya.
