Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul welcomed their first born, a daughter, earlier this week. Now, it looks like the new mom has come back from the hospital. She took to Instagram’s story section to share a photo of two plates with several flowers and flower petals on it. By the looks of it, they are celebrating the new one’s welcome ceremony. The plate also had kumkum on it, an item commonly used during religious rituals. She wrote ‘Om’ along with the photo.
On Monday evening, Athiya and Rahul announced the birth of their daughter through a joint social media post, where it was written, “Blessed with a baby girl” along with the date 24.03.2025. Instead of writing any caption, they just left a baby emoji. Rahul, who missed Delhi Capital’s opening game in the ongoing IPL, received a cute video from his teammates upon the arrival of his baby.
After the match, the players gathered in the dressing room for a unique celebration. They danced and playfully mimicked the act of holding a baby. The franchise shared the heartwarming moment on social media with the caption, “Our family extends, our family celebrates.”
Meanwhile, Athiya’s industry friends, too, congratulated her. Bhumi Pednekar, Shanaya Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Rhea Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Tiger Shroff and more left warm wishes for the new parents.
Athiya and KL Rahul tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on January 23, 2023. The wedding took place at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. Back in November, Athiya and KL Rahul shared their big news about expecting their first child with a heartfelt Instagram post, which included a sweet image of tiny feet and an evil eye symbol. Their caption read, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon 2025”. Fans and well-wishers showered them with love and good wishes, celebrating this special moment in their lives.
