Olympic medalist and star boxer, Mary Kom has reportedly decided to separate from her husband, Karung Onkholer, popularly known as K Onler. The couple had been facing some issues in their marriage which led to the decision. While multiple sources have confirmed that the couple has separated, the divorce proceedings are yet to be initiated.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the couple had been living apart since K Onler’s successful bid in the 2022 Manipur assembly elections. A source revealed that the couple, known for their enduring love, could not make amends, leading to the separation. They revealed that Mary moved to Faridabad with their children while Onler has been living with his family in Delhi. The source was quoted as saying:
“Mary moved to Faridabad with their (four) children, while Onler has been living in Delhi with some family members. Their differences escalated after the elections. Mary was reportedly unhappy about the financial losses, around Rs. 2-3 crores, incurred during the campaign and (the fact) that he lost.”
