After having got engaged to her long-term beau Vegesana Karthik in Hyderabad last month, actress Abhinaya is set to walk down the aisle soon. She is getting hitched at a convention centre in Hyderabad on April 16. Abhinaya had taken to Instagram after her engagement and shared the photo with the caption, “Ring the bells, count the blessings—forever starts today! #Engaged #BellsAndBlessings.”
Abhinaya’s father expressed joy on the occasion. He stated that Abhinaya’s brother is overseeing the arrangements for the marriage. “We are thrilled to celebrate the joyous occasion; this is a big moment, and we are all soaking in happiness,” said her father, adding that the whole family is glad to see her settling down. Abhinaya recently lost her mother, and he says that there was a lot of void to be filled. “But I’m sure she has her mother’s blessings all the time. After the marriage, both the families are planning to host a reception. “We have plans to host the reception in Chennai and in Hyderabad, but we’ll see. We are yet to finalise a few more things,” he said. Prod him on whether the marriage invitation was extended to all the actors in the industry, he replies, “Yes, we have extended it to her industry colleagues and friends.”
Born in a Tamil family, Abhinaya and her family have been residing in Hyderabad for several decades. Abhinaya’s well-wishers and industry colleagues have been sending her congratulations on the joyous occasion.
A seasoned performer, although she has speech and hearing impairment, Abhinaya overcame all challenges. She went on to act in more than 60 films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema. She gave remarkable performances in acclaimed movies like Shambo Shiva Shambo, Easan, Nadodigal and Dammu. Abhinaya has mastered the art of conveying emotions through facial expressions, body language, and nuanced gestures.
