After having done more than a dozen films in Telugu and impressed with audiences with her unique performances, Ananya Nagalla is set to take the Bollywood plunge! The actress will be seen in a yet-to-be-titled Hindi film which is being directed by Rakesh Jaggi. Expressing her excitement Ananya says that she is thrilled to step into Bollywood. “This is not only my first film in Hindi film, but also my first project away from Telugu, so I am excited and looking forward to it,” says Ananaya who is nearly done with shooting for her part.
Talking about how she landed up the film, Ananya says that the filmmakers chanced upon her after seeing her earlier performances and portfolio. “They were looking for a tribal girl and they believed my expressions and body language would suit the part. I too was excited when I heard the narration and quickly came on board.”

The film will be simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu. Ananya says that shooting for both the languages was challenging. However, her clinical approach to acting made things easy for her. “I have prepared my lines in Telugu and gave the shot, later, we shot for the Hindi version. So, I had enough time to prepare for the lines in Hindi,” she says, describing her role as character-driven. Ananya is set to surprise the audiences in the role of a Gujarat tribal girl. Apparently, her role has a rebellious and a warrior side to it. “I play a warrior-like tribal girl from Gujarat, and I have prepared extensively for the part. My costumes too are different,” she says, adding that she also learnt classical dance for her character.
The actress got one of her biggest highs when she was bashing the goons during the action sequences. “This is the first time I had action episodes and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The role brings out a new dimension in me and introduces a new Ananya to the audiences.”
