In the absence of the Avengers, there is no one to protect the people on Earth. And with Sentry unleashing chaos, the world stands on the brink. In the midst of this turmoil, Bucky Barnes steps up, assembling a new team. But they are not the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes like the Avengers. They are reformed villains and antiheroes. The newly released trailer of Thunderbolts* offers a glimpse into this group of misfits as they take on the task of stopping Sentry. In one scene, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine suggests that Sentry is more powerful than all of the Avengers combined- a chilling and interesting thought for any Marvel fan.

A couple of days ago, the makers shared a behind-the-scenes video from Thunderbolts, giving a glimpse of a thrilling stunt. The short clip, just over a minute long, showcases Florence Pugh preparing for one of the boldest sequences in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. The scene is set at Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia—the second-tallest building in the world. Pugh, who reprises her role as the sharp and skilled Yelena Belova, is seen harnessed up, beaming with excitement just moments before initiating a base jump from the towering skyscraper. “Any stunt in any movie, this is amazing,” she says, with genuine awe and adrenaline in her voice.
Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts* is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Brain Chapek, and Jason Tamez are the executive producers. Marvel Studios will release Thunderbolts* on 1st May 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, only in cinemas. The film will be released in India a day before its US release.
