The legendary actress feared that her daughter might turn out ‘spoilt’ due to her rather cushy upbringing. Revealing that she received no pocket money as a child, Shruti recounted:
“There was no concept of pocket money. I had to earn everything. Because mummy always feared that with such a big house, so many cars, the kids will get spoiled. So she was extra strict.”
