BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has achieved another great feat. The singer recently released her EP Amortage, with the title track earthquake. The mini album became a hit and helped Jisoo establish good positions in the global charts. Now, it is reported that Jisoo has surpassed her bandmates Rose and Lisa and solo singer IU’s cumulative album sales. Jisoo has also been quietly moving her way up in the domestic charts.
She is reportedly the top-charting soloist in the popular chart. Her solo album ME sold 1.5 million copies. Her recent mini album AMORTAGE brought the count to more than 2 million. Interestingly, she had also become a top-selling album by a female soloist on the same chart on December 2024. Jisoo also ranks above IU, whose album sales are 1.84 million.
Jisoo, like her bandmates Rose, Lisa and Jennie have been performing exceptionally as solo artistes. However, fans have been wondering if BLACKPINK would reunite as a group sometime this year. While the same hasn’t been confirmed, the members are gearing up for a 2025 world tour. Speaking about their legacy during an interview, the pop star said, “Just as there was a part where we walked on a polished road, I hope we can help make the path of those who will come after us smoother… It would be nice if they could pioneer their own thing and connect with each other. Anyway, that’s a nice expression.”
In other news, Jisoo did a solo tour with stops in seven Asian cities. She visited Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, Macao, Taipei, Hong Kong and Hanoi. The world tour was held from March 14 to 30, 2025.
