Kartik Aaryan is all set to collaborate with filmmaker Kabir Khan for an ambitious new project. The duo had worked together previously on Chandu Champion. According to some recent reports, Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan are teaming up for what is being described as a game-changing sports-adventure film. Set against the scenic yet challenging backdrop of Kashmir, the project is said to be a one-of-a-kind film in the genre, backed by a high production budget and an extensive shooting schedule.
A source close to the development revealed, “Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan are teaming up for what could be a game-changer in the genre. It’s a one of its kind sports adventure with a high production budget. Kartik will be undergoing rigorous training for the film, and is committed to start shooting from the month of February 2026.”
The film is expected to go on floors in February 2026 and will be shot across multiple locations over a long schedule. As per another report, Kabir Khan plans to film the project from February to October 2026, making it a nearly nine-month-long shoot. The source added that Kartik will undergo a significant physical transformation for his role, highlighting the demanding nature of the project.
The actor is reportedly diving into this new-age commercial film immediately after wrapping up Naagzilla for Dharma Productions. The transition from a fantasy-comedy role to a physically intense sports-adventure showcases Kartik’s growing interest in exploring diverse genres.
Apart from this project, Kartik Aaryan has a packed slate ahead. He is currently reading multiple scripts and is also ready to start work on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 in the second half of 2026. The actor is expected to reunite with director Anees Bazmee for the popular franchise, which has enjoyed strong box office success in the past. Kartik is also likely to complete the remaining portions of Anurag Basu’s upcoming film in 2026. Additionally, he was reportedly in talks with Luv Ranjan for another feature film, although no official announcement has been made yet.
The Kartik Aaryan–Kabir Khan film will be produced by Applause Entertainment and is currently eyeing a theatrical release sometime in 2027. With its unique premise, scenic setting, and the combination of Kartik and Kabir, the film has already generated strong buzz.
