Dwayne Johnson grew up watching his mom dad fight all the time
Recently, Dwayne Johnson had a candid conversation with The Variety, during which he opened up about his mom and dad’s relationship while he was growing up. He described their relationship as ‘volcanic’. He shared that his dad was a pro-wrestler at that time, while his mother was busy raising their children. ‘The Rock’ explained that his family wasn’t very rich and they used to survive on the small contracts of his dad. In his words:
“My own mom and dad had an explosive and volcanic relationship. My dad was a pro wrestler at a time when it was the Wild West. There weren’t million-dollar contracts. It was paycheque to paycheque and just trying to survive. And my dad struggled with his addictions and focused on his career and himself, while my mom was at home, raising me.”
