The recently released song, Dekhlenge Saala, from Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, has sparked fan frenzy. The peppy song has become an instant rage among the audiences and quickly clocked record views on social media. Shot at a specially built set at a studio in Hyderabad, Pawan’s graceful dance moves were a major highlight. But here’s an interesting backstory behind the song.
Pawan battled high fever
While Pawan was appreciated for his dance movements, we learnt that he has been battling high fever going into the song shoot. Apparently, the actor was running temperature and it got aggravated on the second day. He continued shooting despite illness, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to not letting the project suffer. Pawan wanted to make sure the film’s schedule isn’t impacted. It’s a classic case of an actor pushing his limits for their craft, prioritizing the film’s needs over their own health.
Testament to Pawan’s dedication
A source from the unit informs, “On the last two days of the shooting, he had around 103 degrees temperature. We weren’t expecting him to show up, but shockingly, he did and even managed to pull off the dance moves with elan. He did not let the fever affect his performance. As soon as the director announced the cut, we could see that he was suffering from body aches and fever. Pawan could have easily said ‘no’ to the shooting but in the larger interest of the film, he came to work.” The crew was reportedly unaware of Pawan’s illness, but after they came to know about it, they appreciated him – a testament to his dedication.
The unit members are drawing parallels to Pawan’s elder brother and Chiranjeevi. The Megastar continued to shoot for super hit songs like Dhinakkuta (Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari) and Kodithe Kotali (Tagore) despite running high fever.
