
37-year-old woman, Renee Nicole Good, was fatally shot by an ICE agent, Jonathan Ross, on the evening of January 7, 2026. The shocking incident has sparked a nationwide debate, along with a controversy. Renee Nicole Good, as reported, was sitting in her SUV during an ICE operation when she was approached by the officers. She was reportedly given conflicting orders, with some asking her to drive, others to get out of the car. However, when she tried to move her vehicle, an ICE agent fired several shots.

Good was struck in her head, as reported by TMJ, which eventually claimed her life. Later, photos of the ICE agent, who shot her, surfaced, and he was identified as Jonathan Ross. While some tagged this situation as ‘unnecessary and reckless’, the Federal claimed that the ICE agent fired in self-defence. Following Renee Nicole Good’s demise, a GoFundMe page was created for Renee Nicole Good, to support her family, her wife and son. The campaign was launched to help Good’s loved ones, and within 24 hours, it received a USD 550,000 donation, with the amount now reaching USD 1 million. In the donation campaign, she was tagged as ‘pure sunshine and pure love’, and the initial goal was to collect USD 50K.
