Tannaz Irani made her on-screen debut as ‘Neeta’ in Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, and went on to appear in numerous projects, including Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Deewangee, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Kuch Naa Kaho and Golmaal 3. The actress also had a stint on television and appeared in Bigg Boss 3 and Shree. However, in 2021, things took a turn, and Tanaaz faced significant health challenges that even confined her to a wheelchair.
Tannaz Irani opens up about her health challenges
Tannaz Irani recently appeared on the Inner Habit podcast and reflected on one of the most difficult phases of her life. The actress shared how her resilience helped her overcome these challenges. Talking about the incident, she shared that she had trouble walking in 2021. She revealed that at first, she thought it was just a phase, or she had put on weight. She stated:
“I was thinking of going to a chiropractor. I kept thinking, ‘What’s wrong with this hip?’ I just couldn’t get the better of it. Because I thought I was putting on a lot of weight, I joined the MMA, which increased the severity of the problem. I didn’t know what was happening, but it was only worsening. Then, there came a time when I just couldn’t even stand up and cook in the kitchen. That’s when I realised there’s something very wrong in the system.”
