It’s a double celebration for the Konidela family! Actor, Ram Charan and his entrepreneur wife, Upasana Konidela, welcomed twins on January 31, 2026. The couple’s firstborn, Kaara, is now a big sister to a baby boy and a baby girl. The happy news was announced by Ram Charan’s father, Chiranjeevi, through a heartfelt social media post. He shared that the mother and the newborns are healthy and doing well, and expressed immense joy at becoming a grandfather again. As Upasana becomes a mom for the second time, her comments regarding Kaara’s favourite parent resurfaced.
Upasana and Ram Charan’s first child is a ‘daddy’s girl’
Upasana and Ram Charan‘s first child, daughter Klin Kaara Konidela, was born on June 20, 2023, in Hyderabad. Being the only child until the birth of her siblings, Kaara was her parents’ entire world, and both Upasana and Ram Charan loved her equally. However, the toddler clearly had a favourite, and it was her father. During an interview with Galatta Ritz, Upasana described that Kaara is a “daddy’s girl”. She has humorously admitted to being “extremely jealous” of their bond, noting that Klin Kaara’s face lights up and she gets a special twinkle in her eyes whenever she sees her father. Regarding that, Upasana stated:
“I think we both play a significant role in parenting. Whatever a mom is expected to do, I think the dad is doing more than that. We’re equally raising Kaara, it’s beautiful. Ram is a hands-on dad. She’s a daddy’s girl, and I am extremely jealous. When she sees her dad, her face lights up. There’s a special smile, a twinkle in her eyes, and I’m like, come on.”
