Ranbir Kapoors Ramayana to Get a Grand Launch on THIS Date?

Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for one of his most ambitious films, Ramayana: Part I. The film pairs Sai Pallavi with him for the first time. The film has been generating steady buzz ever since it was announced.

Now, the team is reportedly gearing up for a grand presentation that promises to offer audiences their first official glimpse into the epic’s cinematic world. According to a report in Mid-Day, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are planning a special event on Ram Navami, scheduled to take place on March 27 at the Gateway of India in Mumbai.

The event is expected to introduce the film’s principal characters.

Sources quoted by the publication claim that senior leaders from both the state and central government have been invited, along with several prominent figures from the film industry. An insider added that Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, has personally reached out to close friends and family for the occasion, calling it a milestone moment for the project.

“Major Bollywood names are expected to attend. Ranbir, who plays Lord Ram, has personally invited family and close associates to the ceremony. This will be the first time that the epic’s character universe will be presented,” stated the insider.

While Ranbir plays Lord Rama, Yash portrays Ravana, and Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita. Sunny Deol will essay Hanuman’s role, and Ravi Dubey will be seen as Lakshman. A second instalment has already been announced. The music of this highly anticipated film has been composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.

The first part is scheduled for an IMAX release during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.
