The wait for Imran Khan’s full-fledged acting comeback has been extended. His much-anticipated film Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, which was initially slated for an early 2026 release, has reportedly been postponed due to changes at the streaming platform backing the project.
While Imran recently made a brief cameo in Happy Patel Khatarnaak Jasoos, fans have been eagerly awaiting his return in a leading role. According to sources cited by HT City, the romantic drama, directed by Danish Aslam, was originally planned to premiere on a streaming service in the first half of 2026. However, internal reshuffles at the platform have disrupted the release schedule.
A source revealed that the executive overseeing the project is no longer associated with the platform, leading to uncertainty across the entire content slate. As a result, the makers are now looking at a revised release window, likely around July or August 2026.
The film stars Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead, with Gurfateh Pirzada playing a key role. Described as a mature romantic comedy, Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is said to draw heavily from Imran Khan’s own life experiences. The story reportedly explores themes of love, marriage, separation, and emotional growth, making it a deeply personal project for the actor.
Imran Khan’s return to acting has been the subject of growing excitement over the past two years, particularly following his resurgence on social media, where his candid posts and reflections have struck a chord with fans.
