Raveena Ravi Names Alleged Stalkers Speaks Out After Years of Harassment

Actor and dubbing artist Raveena Ravi has taken a firm public stand against what she describes as years of persistent harassment, revealing the identities of two men she alleges have been stalking her and her family for nearly three years. In a strongly worded Instagram post, Raveena shared photographs of the individuals, identifying them as twin brothers, and explained that her decision to go public came after prolonged silence and failed attempts at legal redress.

“I am posting this to protect my family”

“I am posting this to protect my family, my friends, and myself from a stalker who has been harassing us for three years. I’ve stayed quiet hoping that police complaints and warnings would stop this. Unfortunately, a person named Sabarish and his twin brother continue to harass me, my family, and my friends,” she wrote.

The post was accompanied by screenshots of comments and direct messages that Raveena alleges were sent by the twins. According to her, the messages included obscene language and targeted not only her but also those close to her. Apologising to her family and friends, the actor expressed regret that they had to endure distress because of their association with her.

Raveena also shed light on the alleged modus operandi of the individuals, claiming that they operate through multiple social media accounts. “We have tried the legal route, but the harassment hasn’t stopped. Apparently he operates from multitudes of accounts and finds ways to stalk and harass not just me, but various other women actors and practitioners establishing made up scenarios of having ‘already met’, ‘fixed marriage,’” she wrote.

Her decision to make the issue public appears rooted in a desire to prevent further harm, both to herself and to others who may be facing similar situations but lack a platform to speak out.

A call for caution, accountability, and safer spaces

At the end of her statement, Raveena made a clear appeal to the online community, outlining three specific actions she urged users to take. She asked people to block and report the profiles in question, remain alert if they receive messages from the individuals, and refrain from engaging with their comments or messages in any form.

Beyond her personal experience, Raveena also addressed the broader issue of women’s safety, particularly in urban spaces that are often perceived as secure. “Chennai is often called the safest city for women in India. I truly hope the authorities take action against such creeps to prove that this city is safe for everyone,” she concluded.

Her post has since sparked conversations across social media, with several industry colleagues and fans expressing solidarity. The incident once again brings attention to the often invisible emotional toll of online harassment, especially for women in the public eye, and the limitations of existing safeguards when perpetrators persistently evade accountability.

Raveena Ravi has long been regarded as a versatile presence in South Indian cinema, balancing her on-screen roles with an acclaimed career as a dubbing artist across multiple languages. She is the daughter of veteran dubbing artist and actor Sreeja Ravi, and has frequently spoken about carving her own identity within the industry.

On the professional front, Raveena continues to remain active across industries. She recently lent her voice to Rajisha Vijayan’s character in Mari Selvaraj’s Bison and dubbed for Athulya Ravi in Diesel. In Malayalam cinema, she was last seen in Muhashin’s Vala: Story of a Bangle, further cementing her dual reputation as both performer and voice artist.

By choosing to speak openly now, Raveena Ravi has shifted the focus from silent endurance to collective awareness, reminding audiences that safety, accountability, and dignity should not be negotiable, online or offline.
