Aditi Rao Hydari has always spoken about cinema with conviction. But when she talks about love, grounding and her husband Siddharth, there’s an unmistakable glow that comes through. In a candid conversation with Filmfare, the actor opens up about how family, her inner childlike wonder and a deeply creative partnership with Siddharth continue to anchor her.

The idea of holding on to one’s inner child returns when Aditi talks about her journey across a decade. Asked what her 2016 self would feel seeing her in 2026, she pauses and reveals, “That is interesting. I hope I have evolved. I hope I’ve evolved in my work. I love the fact that my core and that the five-year-old inside of me is still jumping around. She is very active.” But the biggest surprise, she admits, would be love. “In 2016, I never imagined that I would find my pixie soulmate. He is much like me in that regard and protects that about me.”
Cinema, unsurprisingly, is also the language Aditi and Siddharth speak most fluently with each other. Siddharth watched the first edit of Gandhi Talks and offered feedback that Aditi values. “He watched the first edit of Gandhi Talks. He gave me pointers… He is a cinema boy and he really values films. I really value what he feels and thinks.”
Their relationship thrives on shared curiosity and creative exchanges. “Siddharth is a cinema baby. He is excited about every little thing that has to do with cinema and storytelling,” she says. Aditi details his love for writing, music, sound design and filmmaking. “He is an all-rounder… It is exciting being around him. He is full of ideas,” she adds.
As for the question fans keep asking, will they work together onscreen? Aditi is hopeful. “I hope so. He pushes for things that I push for. We are very similar. He is also keen on working with certain directors. He loves different narratives. He likes adventurous stories. I hope somebody comes to us with something like that. And I hope it’s a filmmaker that we both aspire to work with,” she quips. And if it does happen, she hopes it feels familiar and joyous. “I hope it feels like we’re on a playground on that set,” she laughs.

Aditi and Siddharth tied the knot on September 16, 2024. Their intimate wedding happened at a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy, Telangana. The couple later celebrated their wedding with a ceremony at the Alila Fort Bishangarh in Rajasthan. They had announced their engagement on March 28, 2024.
