Lindsey Vonn is one of the top American alpine ski racers in the world. Many might not be aware, but she started skiing at the tender age of 2. Her skills were so terrific that, at age 16, she had already made her World Cup debut after climbing through the ranks of the U.S. Ski team. She was only 13 seconds into her run when her body appeared to flip and crash into the snow. Apparently, the crash was so severe that Lindsey had to be airlifted off the mountain.
