Mrunal Thakur has addressed circulating speculation linking her romantically to Dhanush, firmly dismissing reports that the two were planning to marry on February 14, 2026. Speaking during promotions in Mumbai, the actor laughed off the rumours before clarifying, “I don’t know where these rumours spread from; they are completely baseless.”
Maintaining a playful tone, she joked about how easily gossip spreads, quipping that Valentine’s Day seemed to have turned into April Fools’ Day for those who believe such claims. Asked again about the supposed wedding date, she teased, “Guys, aaj meri haldi hai, kal sangeet hai. Please khana kha lena,” before reiterating that she herself had no knowledge of any such plans. She emphasised that if she ever chooses to marry, she would share the news personally, adding, “One shouldn’t just get married just for the sake of it… when the time is right, when you meet the right match… that time you should go for it.”
The actor is currently promoting the romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi, who joined in the light-hearted banter by joking that suitors might soon queue outside her home. At the same time, Thakur is gearing up for multiple releases, including Dacoit with Adivi Sesh, now scheduled for April 10 after a release shift to avoid a box-office clash with Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic.
Balancing humour with candour, she acknowledged family conversations around arranged marriage but maintained that commitment should not be rushed. By addressing speculation directly while keeping the tone breezy, Mrunal Thakur redirected attention toward her work, signalling that professional milestones, rather than unfounded personal rumours, remain her current priority.
