This was because Tyler and Reddick’s nine-month-old son, Rookie, had shown signs of heart failure. Well, 2026 has been better for the family, as after Reddick won the Daytona 500 and started off the season in the best manner. Reddick also shared that it has been better for his little infant, Rookie.
For the unversed, Tyler’s wife, Alexa, in an Instagram note about her son, shared pictures from the hospital. The child had a tube attached to his nose and was seen playing. He was born on May 25, 2025, and reportedly, in September 2025, he was taken to Charlotte’s Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. The child had shown signs of what looked like a heart failure.
