In a recent interview with Times of India TV, Jiya Shankar shared that she had kept her relationship private, but when the rumours started spreading, she decided to make it official. She mentioned that she felt tired of the rumours surrounding her personal life. She highlighted that by revealing that she was not single, she wanted to put an end to all the rumours. She added that she would reveal her partner’s identity when they got engaged. She was quoted as saying:
“I had kept it very private. But when the rumours started spreading, I felt enough was enough because I was tired of it. Every other day, my name was being linked with someone new. So I decided I didn’t want that anymore and wanted to distance myself from all of it. That’s when I thought I should at least make it clear that I’m no longer single and put an end to these rumours involving different people. That was the only reason I spoke about it. Otherwise, I would have preferred to keep it private for some time. I plan to reveal my partner’s identity only when I get engaged.”
