Salim Khan has been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital. The reason for the veteran screenwriter’s admission has not been disclosed, but family members such as Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma and Alvira Khan Agnihotri have already arrived at the hospital.
As per photos and videos doing the rounds on social media, Salman was seen arriving at the hospital dressed in a black t-shirt and trousers. He sported a grim expression and did not interact with the paparazzi upon his arrival. No formal statement has been released regarding Khan’s health.
Salim Khan was last seen in the public eye during Sohail Khan’s birthday party last month. He also rang in his 90th birthday in November last year.
Salim has left an unmatched professional legacy in Bollywood. With hits like Zanjeer, Deewar, and Don, his collaboration with Javed Akhtar revolutionised popular storytelling in the 1970s and 1980s and shaped Amitabh Bachchan’s reputation. Salim left a lasting impression on Indian film history by writing successful scripts even after the legendary pair split up.
He got married to Salma and has four children together – Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Alvira Khan Agnihotri. Although there was initial opposition to his second marriage to Helen in 1981, the family eventually came to love one another and became the close-knit unit that exists today.
Talking of Salman Khan, he was last seen in Sikandar. The actor is now gearing up for the release of The Battle of Galwan. The film is produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, with Apoorva Lakhia as the director. The project, centred on the Galwan Valley conflict, has attracted attention since its announcement, with early glimpses of Salman Khan from the sets already circulating online and drawing viewer interest.
