According to the New York Times, the online speculations about Dominic’s role in the case reached a point where strangers began gathering outside their home late at night. Sharing his ordeal, Dominic said:
“I feel like someone’s taken my name… But for what reasons? I don’t know, monetary, clickbait, to be relevant, entertainment, but some innocent people get hurt.”
