Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding festivities are underway in Udaipur. Amid the ceremonies, we are getting to know that the actress dedicated a special dance performance to Vijay. They rang in their sangeet celebration on February 24, and as per reports, Rashmika chose the song Angaaron from her 2024 hit film Pushpa 2: The Rule, co-starring Allu Arjun.
According to a report in News18, the dance performance visibly moved Vijay. The couple also arrived at the venue hand in hand, making a striking entry. The space was decorated with large banners and posters featuring their photographs. In a warm gesture, Vijay’s mother also gifted Rashmika traditional heirloom bangles.
Vijay and Rashmika got married today in Udaipur, followed by a reception in Hyderabad on March 4.
Several industry colleagues and friends of the couple are in Udaipur for the wedding, including Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Ashika Ranganath, Eesha Rebba and stylist Shravya Varma.
Yesterday, they gave a glimpse of their Haldi ceremony. The first frame revealed a beautifully styled Haldi venue set outdoors. A circular space was made, enclosed by soft wooden panelling. The space was carpeted with delicate pink rose petals. At the centre sat two small wooden stools, placed for the bride and groom during the ritual.
There were also personalised floral name placards. One flower-shaped card read “Rushie,” his nickname for Rashmika. Another one read “Vijay.”
The couple had a private relationship for a long time before they finally decided to make things public. Earlier this week, they confirmed their marriage with the statement, “Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves—you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today – with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it – ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’.”
