There have been speculations surrounding Cillian Murphy’s possible entry in the Harry Potter reboot series. According to the buzz, Cillian has stepped into the shoes of the villain, ‘Lord Voldemort’. Originally, the role was played by actor, Ralph Fiennes. The rumour surrounding Cillian’s appearance as ‘Lord Voldemort’ began in January 2026, when Ralph Fiennes allegedly shared that the Oppenheimer fame had already gotten the part. He told Let’s Talk Film that his part in the film had been filled. In a video, Ralph stated, “I think Cillian Murphy is very good. A very good choice,” further fuelling the speculation. In a recent interview with The Times, Cillian set the record straight. In his words:
