Before debuting with Deewana in 1992, Shah Rukh Khan had had appeared in small productions. He was popular as a television actor, as he acted in serials like Fauji, Circus and Dil Dariya. Many of his previous work can be found on social media, but a lot of his fans may not know about a particular film which Shah Rukh was a part of.

The 1989 movie, In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, had SRK featuring in a cameo role. It was a television film made 37 years ago and originally only shown once in Doordarshan. Now, the movie is up for a theatrical release. The movie has been restored in 4K by the Film Heritage Foundation.
Interestingly, the movie will be released in theatres across India on March 13, 2026. The release will give fans a chance to revisit one of SRK’s previous performances. It is adapted from the book of the same name, written by famous author Arundhati Roy.
About In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones
The story is set in 1974 in a school of architecture. The film, directed by filmmaker and environmentalist Pradip Krishen, follows a group of “dope-smoking, bellbottom-wearing and vaguely idealistic” final-year students. They are racing to complete their theses.
Annie (played by actor Arjun Raina), an architecture student, is struggling with his studies and dealing with strict professors at a Delhi architecture school. The film shows the fun, friendship and struggles of college life in the 1970s.

Shah Rukh Khan’s role
SRK appears as one of the architecture students. Fans can find his glimpses from the movie on social media. In fact, Manoj Bajpayee also appears in the movie briefly.
