The excitement around Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming magnum opus, Ramayana, continues to grow as the cast shares glimpses of their journey. Recently, veteran actress Indira Krishnan took to her Instagram handle to share a warm moment with the film’s lead, Ranbir Kapoor, sparking plenty of conversation among fans.
Indira Krishnan, who is set to play the role of Mata Kaushalya (the mother of Lord Ram) in the mythological epic, posted a picture featuring herself and Ranbir. The duo previously shared the screen in the 2023 blockbuster Animal, where Indira played a brief role as the mother of Geetanjali (played by Rashmika Mandanna). Moving from playing his mother-in-law to his mother, she expressed her admiration for Ranbir’s craft and personality.
In her caption, Indira highlighted the core values of acting by quoting Scott Freeman to describe the depth Ranbir brings to his performances. She wrote, “The three imp tools for any actor is lived experience, imagination and empathy -Scott Freeman. In a recent development, it was said that Ranbir has reportedly begun shooting for Ramayana: Part 2 in Mumbai, with the upcoming schedule focusing on Lord Ram’s journey towards Lanka. While Ramayana: Part 1 is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, Ramayana: Part 2 is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2027.
