
Strictly Come Dancing’s fans had been bracing themselves for a major change this year. The feeling of distress came after the hosts, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, revealed they were leaving the BBC programme in 2025. However, it seems like they were not the only ones saying goodbye to Strictly, as it’s been claimed that many of the programme’s professional dancers have also faced the axe. Nonetheless, few fans imagined that the longest-serving female pro, Karen Hauer, would also be part of this farewell.

According to reports, there was ongoing buzz that seven established professional dancers would not be returning to the main line-up. The list included some magnificent performers such as Gorka Marquez, Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk, Michelle Tsiakkas, Neil Jones, 43, Nancy Xu and Karen Hauer. Well, on March 21, 2026 (ET), Karen, the show’s longest-serving female professional after 14 years, confirmed that she’s leaving the programme.
