Shohei Manabe’s The Great Sin of Article 9, also known as Kujo no Taizai, is a Japanese manga series. It was serialised in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine, Weekly Big Comic Spirit and has since become one of the most-loved series. Netflix is now bringing Shohei Manabe’s crime drama to the screen with a stellar cast and a story which will leave viewers questioning moral grounds, as the series is believed to push every boundary set by the law.

Kujo no Taizai, or The Great Sin of Article 9, is the latest manga series by the well-known Japanese illustrator, Shohei Manabe. The series’ trailer has revealed the show’s official title: Sins of Kujo. He rose to fame with his popular dark-hero manga, Yamikin Ushijim-kun. His latest work, The Great Sin, has been part of Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) since October 2020 and has become a hot topic, with 15 volumes published to date and over 4 million copies sold.
