A few days ago, Savannah Guthrie sat down for a candid chat with Hoda Kotb. For the unversed, it was the very first interview that Savannah gave after her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was kidnapped and was last seen on January 31, 2026. While the Today host opened up about the agony she and her family have been going through for the past few months, conservative commentator, Megyn Kelly sharply criticised the interview, labelling it a “promotional vehicle”. She even questioned Hoda Kotb’s role.
Megyn Kelly slams Hoda Kotb for a poor job of interviewing Savannah Guthrie
Megyn Kelly, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, did not hold back on her thoughts on what a poor job Hoda Kotb did interviewing Savannah Guthrie. For those unaware, the interview was part of a three-part special scheduled to wrap on Friday. According to Megyn, Hoda was not the correct person for the interview. She claimed that NBC had a rather “inappropriate” agenda for the show to feel like a family. She said:
“With respect, I think Hoda Kotb fell down on the job. I don’t think she was the woman for the interview.”
