According to reports, Mary was 79 years old when she breathed her last at an assisted living facility in Jersey City, New Jersey. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mary had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease back in 2015. The late actress had been living in another facility in Manhattan until recently. Her husband, Oscar-nominated writer and director, Paul Schrader, was also reportedly living in the same building as Mary, although in a different apartment.
