After finishing shooting for Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace with Chitrangda Singh, Salman Khan is set to collaborate on a new project with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju. Paidipally is seemingly making his Bollywood debut with an upcoming film, which Salman Khan is leading. The director has recently delivered the hit film Varisu.
Taking to social media, Salman opened up about the new collaboration. “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se from this April with Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju,” he wrote.
Vamshi Paidipally is known for movies like Maharshi (2019), Oopiri (2016) and Varisu (2023). He has also directed stars like Prabhas, Jr. NTR, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Vijay. Dil Raju has also been a part of several blockbusters including Arya (2004) and Bommarillu (2006).
Opening up on the collaboration, one fan wrote, “Forever young… Mashallah Bhaijaan.” Another fan shared, “Love you Salman Bhai.”
Salman Khan has recently finished filming for Apoorva Lakhia’s Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. The movie is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. It features Salman Khan as Colonel Santosh Babu. It is expected to be released in April 2026. His last release was A.R. Murugadoss’ Sikandar. He starred alongside Rashmika Mandanna in the action drama.

The revised title, Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, suggests that the story will also focus on themes of sacrifice, patriotism and the desire for peace. The phrase Maatrubhumi means motherland and adds an emotional and patriotic dimension to the film’s narrative. The announcement has sparked discussions among fans and industry watchers alike, many of whom are intrigued by how the story will balance historical context with cinematic storytelling.
