FIR Filed Against Yo Yo Honey Singh Over Safety Violations During Mumbai Concert

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh’s recent Mumbai concert has landed in legal trouble after an FIR was reportedly filed over alleged safety violations, including the use of illegal laser lights and crowd mismanagement.
The event, held at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra as part of his My Story – India Chapter tour, drew a massive turnout but quickly spiralled into controversy.
According to reports, authorities flagged the use of high-intensity laser lights during the performance, which allegedly did not comply with required permissions and safety norms.
Alongside this, complaints emerged regarding inadequate crowd control measures, raising concerns about the organisers’ preparedness for handling a large audience.
Videos from the concert that surfaced online further highlighted the situation.
In one widely circulated clip, a female fan was seen attempting to climb a barricade, leading to a scuffle with security personnel. The incident added to the growing criticism around poor crowd management at the venue.

Eyewitness accounts and social media reactions pointed to overcrowding and chaotic conditions, with some attendees claiming that entry points were not properly regulated. These factors reportedly contributed to authorities taking action and registering a case to investigate the lapses.
Despite the disruptions, Honey Singh continued his performance, delivering several of his popular hits to an energetic crowd. The show concluded with a grand finale, though the controversy has since overshadowed the event’s success.
The FIR now puts the spotlight on event organisers and compliance protocols for large-scale concerts in the city. Officials are expected to examine whether proper permissions were obtained for technical equipment like laser lighting and if adequate safety measures were in place for crowd control.
