Court papers reviewed by TMZ show that he took part in filming for the show months after filing a defamation lawsuit against cast member, Demi Engemann, and the producers. Now, he is pushing back, claiming he was misled during that shoot and never meant to give up any legal rights.

Marciano Brunette explained in legal documents that his visit to Utah was never meant to become a filmed appearance. He shared that he is close with Chase McWhorter, and the plan was just a casual trip with friends. Things shifted when, Chase reached out during the journey. Marciano expressed in the filing by stating:
“While I was on my way to Utah, Mr McWhorter called me and asked me what I thought about permitting filming of Mormon Wives.”
