With the search for Savannah Guthrie’s octogenarian mother completing its second month, the internet is flooded with unverified theories, new leads, and fresh takes on the investigation. There were “no signs of assault” inside Nancy Guthrie’s home, says ex-FBI
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on the morning of February 1, 2026, after her family failed to contact her. Authorities had earlier suggested that the Today co-anchor’s mother was forcibly taken from her Catalina Foothills residence in Tucson, Arizona, with Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos citing blood found on the property. Photos of the scene showed drops of blood on the porch and an open back door, which indicated signs of a struggle. However, a recent report citing a law enforcement insider claims that the interior of the home showed no apparent signs of abuse or violence.
