Mumbai Indians’ win over Kolkata Knight Riders came with a fun moment off the field too, as the dressing room turned into a mini film set. In a video shared by the team, Nita Ambani was seen enjoying the light mood while Suryakumar Yadav cheekily pulled Jasprit Bumrah’s leg with a line straight out of Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

As Bumrah was applauded for his performance, Nita Ambani called him “Boom boom Bumrah” and pinned a badge on him, with the team cheering around. Just then, SKY couldn’t resist and dropped the now-famous line, “Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi, Jassi? (Didn’t you miss home, Jassi?)”, instantly setting off laughter across the room, including Bumrah himself.
The joke has been doing the rounds for a while now. Earlier, Bumrah had also recreated Ranveer Singh’s moment from Dhurandhar: The Revenge in a promo, where he’s seen washing his face as a teammate repeats the same line, echoing the film’s popular interval scene.

It all started when Sanjana Ganesan shared a meme in March, giving the dialogue a personal twist. Referring to Bumrah’s boys’ nights, the post read, “Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe, Jassi?”, and since then, the line has stuck with the cricketer, turning into an inside joke that now everyone seems to be enjoying.
