Salman Khan to Not Charge Any Fee for Dil Rajus Project?

Salman Khan will soon star in a movie with Nayanthara. He recently announced his collaboration with Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally. The details about the movie haven’t been revealed yet but Salman has shared an announcement post on social media. He captioned the post as, “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se from this April with @directorvamshi and #DilRaju.”

As per a latest report from Siasat.com, Salman Khan has opted out of charging his usual fee for this project. He is now going for a profit-sharing method. This also means that Salman’s earnings for the movie will be aligned with its box office performance. While the report states that Salman is not going to be paid in the usual way, his profit shares haven’t been revealed yet. As per the report, Nayanthara will be paid Rs 10 crores for this project.

The makers haven’t reacted to the report yet. The film’s production banner Sri Venkateswara Creations had recently confirmed the collaboration on social media.  The added, “#SalmanKhan – A Phenomenon who has delivered countless moments of celebration to audiences across the world … Now joins hands with our very own, dearest blockbuster filmmaker #VamshiPaidipally for #SVC63 #SalmanKhanVamshiPaidipallyFilm goes on floors this April… destined for glory.”

It should be noted that Salman Khan has recently completed filming for Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, alongside Chitrangda Singh. In the film, Salman plays the role of the late Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu. The movie originally began filming in Ladakh in September 2025 and was close to completion by mid-December. However, there was a decision to reshoot and change the tone of the film. It reportedly came from the evolving diplomatic relations between India and China.

The movie was previously named Battle of Galwan. The new name carries a strong and reflective message. At the centre of the title is the powerful tagline, “May War Rest in Peace.” It appears to emphasise a broader sentiment about peace and the human cost of conflict.
